RADISH

ROOT PROBLEMS.

Cause: Black Root (Aphanomyces raphani), a fungal disease which causes the radish skin to turn purple or black in a single area. As the infection progresses, the entire root may be girdled.

Treatment: Avoid warm weather plantings, and storage conditions.
